The dictionary meaning of the word alumni is, “A graduate or ex-student of a particular school, college or university”. We believe it’s a lot more than these simple words! (This may sound “cliche” to some – but trust us, we actually mean it!). We’ve acted as mentors, guides, role models and even as the “go to people” in order to help our fellow school students (past and present)
To just give you a brief about us, we have been working closely with the school, since our unit was formed in 1998 and have been part of this great institution in some form or the other through the various activities that we’ve been conducting. The formative years of the unit were shaped in helping build a strong foundation to the association and work along with the school to build a strong event calendar for the school students (with a right mixture of fun and learning).
However, many of the ex-students whom we bumped into, over a period of time, ended up asking us, “What does the alumni group do?” (Moreover, most of the ex-students weren’t even aware that there was an alumni association too!) It was at that point of time, we realized that it was time to reach out to our ex-students to not only invite them to join the unit but also to be keep all our fellow Boscoites informed about the various activities and events that the “Don Bosco Alumni – Borivali Unit” have been involved with.
Through these pages, you’ll learn about the various activities that the “Don Bosco Alumni – Borivali Unit” is involved in. We look forward to your suggestions and ideas to help us in our constant endeavor to deliver the best service to our school and its students (past and present).
